Hundreds of frame styles to choose from!

Arts & Crafts

The American Arts & Crafts Movement started in the late 1800's and ended about the time of WW1. Gustov Stickley advocated a return to simpler ideas, honest craftsmanship and sturdy ornamentation as a rebellion against the ornate victorian furniture of the time. We have taken this phylosophy and created a Series of Frame styles that evoke that same sense of honest craftsmanship and simple design. The Slip Joint Series (Sj-), the Arroya Series, and the Glassgow Series.

Hicks Frames

Hicks frames (Raised Corner Block) come in a variety of styles.
They can be whimsical, Folkey, or Contemporary. They can be Elegent, Traditional, or all of the above.
The picture on the left show some examples.

Cross Lap Frames

The Cross-Lap frame is a simple frame that was popular around 1905. It is ideally suited to less formal settings and art work.
The frames are offered in Mission Oak, cherry, walnut, mahogany, and tiger maple.
Two flush dowels are standard; other options are available.
Each Cross-Lap frame is made from scratch; so the standard dimension of 1" rail and 2" rails are  offered as a suggestion only

Mirror Frames
The Architectural Elements Series is the result of this evolutionary process. Architectural Elements is Wall Furniture to stylishly house Mirrors, Tapistries, Paintings and other objects d'art. Architectural Elements is a Limited Edition Series, each individually made. Matching woods is a hallmark of each Architectural Element, his hallmark is woven throughout the entire series. Each is shaped, sanded, and finished as if it was the only one in the studio.
